Hi all!
Has anyone ever heard of applevis.com?
Supposedly, it's a site that has a list of accessible iPhone and iPad apps for people to look at and see if they are accessible or not with voice over. I, myself have not visited the site..yet. I will, but as a general discussion what're your thoughts on the site? How correct is it for one thing?
Figured I could put this here cause it's about a site that deals with cell phone apps etc...

Perhaps I'm biased, but we strive to provide the most accurate information we can. For the most part, things that I've found with apps tend to be consistent with what our users report. However, with thousands of apps in the directory, I'm sure there are things that aren't 100% accurate. TO that end, we just have to trust users and hope that they would provide info that is correct. I have found verry few instances where something has needed to be edited for correct info.

applevis.com is one of the best site on the net. Not because i'm bias, but they do have great resources, and the site is always up-to-date.

I like AppleVis. At first it can be overwhelming, just with the sheer amount of information that's up there. I still don't go there quite as often as I probably should to learn things, especially when apps I have come out with new updates. But I have found games up there, and podcasts, etc. To the original poster, check it out if you haven't already. It's a great resource.

The nice thing about Applevis is that it is informative. With the specialized sites for the blind there is so much opinion and so little data most times.
The so-called reviews in most places are nothing compared to the Amazon reviews and the like. But Applevis is a breath of fresh air; a site where people can get the information they need for getting the job done, no more no less.
I hope the Android users have such a site also, as no matter the platform you use, that sort of information is far better than any sort of competitive dogma or what the kids call drama.
